Multi-platinum selling and award-winning, TRIBL Records’ own Maverick City Music, continue their record-breaking year by adding a 2021 American Music Award (AMA) nomination for Favorite Gospel Artist to their resume. The 2021 American Music Awards are set to air Sunday, November 21st live on ABC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles from 8p.m. to 11p.m. EST. Voting is now open through November 16th by searching AMAs on TikTok.

Fresh off their 52nd GMA DOVE Award wins, for Worship Album of the Year and New Artist of the Year. The award-winning collective is completing the last legs of their headlining domestic tour, Welcome to Maverick City Music. Recently, the collective appeared on the national daytime talk show, The Nick Cannon Show, in which they inspired the audience with the song, “Man of Your Word.”

Maverick City Music made extraordinary headlines with their release Old Church Basement, a collab album with Elevation Worship, which broke streaming records at both Apple Music and Spotify. On Apple Music, the group set a new worldwide record for the most first-day streams for a Christian and Gospel album, and on Spotify, the album broke the U.S. record for the most streams in a day for an album by a Christian group and was #4 out of all U.S. albums its first weekend of release. Old Church Basement features vocals from celebrated singers: Chandler Moore, Brandon Lake, Naomi Raine, Chris Brown, Dante Bowe, Tiffany Hudson, Joe L Barnes, and Amanda Lindsey Cook.
