IS JESUS CHRIST GOD
Jesus Christ is God’s Son who died for the sin of humanity and who was raised on the third day after his death, by his father God. The resurrection is a highly fundamental teaching of Christianity and Jesus Christ models it.
The teaching of the resurrection is so intrinsic that if something is wrong or false about it, the gospel becomes distorted and the Christian faith becomes of no relevance.
1 Corinthians 15:13-18
But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: AND IF CHRIST BE NOT RAISED, YOUR FAITH IS VAIN; YE ARE YET IN YOUR SINS. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
So, since the teaching of the resurrection is so vital, we can’t afford to misunderstand or wrongly teach it. In the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the aim of God was to show humanity that a man like them (a man, not God appearing as flesh) can be raised up after death, to inherit immortality in Paradise.
Acts 17:31
because he has set a day when he is going to judge the world with justice through a man (a man, not a half man, half God) whom he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him (Jesus) from the dead.”
Acts 17:31 describes Jesus as a man, raised by God from the dead as an assurance to us that we too will be raised from the dead. God was very deliberate about ensuring that the proof of resurrection is a man like us.
1 Corinthians 15:21-22
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man. For as in Adam all die, so also in the Messiah will all be made alive.
The Bible never talks of Jesus being half man half God or ‘very man, very God.’ All of these are ideologies and philosophies of men, mostly with pagan origin. The Bible only talks of Jesus being a man; the Son of God. God was intentional about making the messiah a man, since condemnation came by a man as well. These dealings have to be done by men, since God created them and gave them will to run their own affairs.
Romans 5:15
But God’s free gift is not like Adam’s offense. For if many people died as the result of ONE MAN’S offense, how much more have God’s grace and the free gift given through the kindness of ONE MAN, JESUS THE MESSIAH, been showered on many people!
Jesus Christ is a righteous and holy man (God’s Son) sent by God, to suffer the punishment of Sin on man’s behalf, thus reconciling him back to God. After he died, God raised him back to life on the third day, to show the rest of humanity that they who believe in this one man, his firstborn, will also live with him in Paradise one day after he raises them likewise.

If Jesus Christ is God or God appearing as man, then the resurrection is a huge scam and is nothing special to be celebrated. If God, as mighty as he is decided to come as man and he died, he should have no issue resurrecting. There is therefore nothing miraculous about the resurrection of Jesus. If Jesus is God, his resurrection must be considered normal and nothing to be excited about.
God can’t die. However, let’s assume (for the sake of the wrong teaching that Jesus is God) that truly God came as man and died. If he did, then resurrecting is too easy a task for him as the God he is, since naturally it would be impossible for him to remain dead. If Jesus Christ is God, then God has tricked us. How can the resurrection of someone who’s both God and man at the same time be a guarantee to us, mere men that we will resurrect?
For us to be assured that we too will resurrect and inherit immortality, God has to show us an ensample of the resurrection using someone who’s a man like us in every way. That’s exactly what he did.
Hebrews 2:14
Therefore, since the children have flesh and blood, he himself also shared the same things, so that by his death he might destroy the one who has the power of death (that is, the devil).
See what verse 17 further says about Jesus:
Hebrews 2:17
Because of this it was necessary for him [Jesus] to be made like his brothers IN EVERY WAY, so that he might be a high priest full of mercy and keeping faith in everything to do with God, making offerings for the sins of the people.

Acts 17:31

The scriptures are clear enough on this. Jesus Christ was a man, raised from the dead by God to give other men the assurance that the same will be their fate. Death came by a man, the resurrection comes by a man also, not one who is God in flesh.
1 Corinthians 15:21-22
